Parisian Macaroons

So I am not going to pretend I have any idea what these taste like, because I have only ever had those goopy (but yummy) coconut macaroons they sell everywhere.  Hell, I won't even pretend like I don't say the word macaroon wrong EVERY time, regardless of how often dr. csirke reminds me of its correct pronunciation.  However, I saw these in a newsweek article about suggestions for gifts for mom's day and my curiosity was peaked.  Lets say that they are a wee (oui) pricey.   48 macaroons in 6 flavors (chocolate, coffee, lemon, raspberry, vanilla, and white chocolate) is $68.75.  Holy  moly!  Maybe if I win the power ball I will give these a go. . .
